Statement from the busy County Hall PR office re. new road safety signs appearing in and around the Ormskirk, Aughton, Burscough and Scarisbrick areas: “These temporary signs support our road safety campaign which urges members of the public to be kind and considerate to each other to help keep each other safe on the roads.
“As part of this, our temporary road signs, 'Slow Down Safe Lives', 'Share the Road' and '20s Plenty,' are aimed at raising awareness and understanding of road safety, supporting vulnerable road users and helping make the roads a safer place.
"Ultimately all road users have the right to use the roads safely, whether they be pedestrians, cyclists, motor bikers or drivers.”
